New feature in Google Search, now celebrity information will be available in a new way
A new feature is being tested in Google Search, under which the style of searching celebrities on the platform will change. Searching for well-known people will show you “Rich Cards” before the top result, which will provide you with better information than ever before.
These rich cards will appear on the search page after the celebrity’s name. The about section has also been reduced. Currently, this feature is active for a select few users and will soon be rolling out to the rest. This feature is working for BGR Hindi. You can see in the screenshot below, what kind of page will come in front of you when you search for a celebrity on Google Search.

The new feature of Google Search was first noticed by SEO Consultant Brodie Clark. Searching for a celebrity on Google shows five rich cards under the name. The first card is the largest, which gives information about the celebrity. The remaining four cards keep changing for each celebrity.
On searching ‘Shah Rukh Khan’, the first card gives information from Wikipedia with a large picture of the actor. The second card showed the age of the celebrity, the third a video interview and the rest of the two featured news pieces. The About section is at the bottom, along with the top news stories.
There are also tabs like Overview, Movies, Videos, News, TV Shows and Relationships beside the celebrity names. On clicking on these, the information of the same category is coming in front of us. You can see this result page below:
On searching ‘Akshay Kumar’, the second card has information about the actor’s upcoming film. Rest of the cards are similar to the ‘Shah Rukh Khan’ quest. You can see this page below.
This new feature of Google Search has just started for a few selected users and is currently active only for a few selected celebrities. On searching ‘Amitabh Bachchan’, we found the same old result page. There are no rich cards and as before, we are seeing Wikipedia page info, about section and then top news stories at the top. Tabs like Overview, News, Education and Movies and TV Shows are also present here. You can see this picture below:
At present, no information has come from Google about this test. There is also no information about whether this test will be live on Google Search’s mobile app or not.
